Silent Book Club Valencia
Every second Wednesday, a cozy crew of book lovers come to Book Lovers Valencia with their current read and sit quietly reading together for about an hour.
Stick around to chat about books after (small-talk is so much easier when it’s about books!) or slink off silently into the night, buzzing from your blissful reading hour.
It’s low stakes. All are welcome. And yes, you do get social points just for showing up to this “Introvert Happy Hour.”

Book Lovers Open Mic
On the last Thursday of the month, we invite writers of all genres — poetry, prose, and nonfiction — to take the stage and share their work.
Not quite ready to read or just want to listen? Come cheer on the local literary talent!
Want to read your work? Arrive early and get your name on the list! Our wonderful host will be there to guide you.
The audience will vote on their favourite piece and the winner will win a little prize!

About Us
Kim
Ever since Kim was a little girl, reading has been a constant comfort and refuge. As an only child of two busy working parents, she practically lived at the library. She’s been a “book dragon” ever since and is a proud owner of a rather substantial collection of her own.
Running a bookstore has been her lifelong dream. When the opportunity arose to take the reigns of Book Lovers Valencia, it came at just the right time, and she decided to take the plunge and make it happen.
Oriana
Kim’s daughter, Oriana, will be joining to help run the shop in the coming months. She currently manages Book Lovers Valencia’s online presence remotely from Vancouver, Canada.
Oriana brings a decade of experience in the publishing industry as a marketing & communications specialist, and has a degree in creative writing from the University of Victoria.
The Bookstore
Book Lovers Valencia is an independent English-language bookstore located in the Ruzafa neighbourhood of Valencia, Spain. It was established in 2022 by a devoted husband-and-wife duo.
Kim and Oriana are continuing Book Lovers’ legacy, offering carefully curated books in English to the Valencia community as well as events for writers, readers, and all book lovers.

Probably! It just depends on what is available from our distributor, but ask us and we’ll check for you.
If I can’t come in person, can I order through you online?
Yes! Check out our online store.
Do you buy used books?
No, but depending on the quantity, quality, and subject matter, we may be able to offer you a discount on used books or an exchange for one.
Do you accept donated books?
Yes!
