Writers’ Open Mic
This monthly event is a showcase of Valencia’s English-speaking writers and their work.
We welcome writers of all genres — poetry, fiction, and nonfiction — to take the stage and read a short piece (up to 5-7 mins).
And we invite supporters of the literary community to come and cheer on the local talent.
At the end, the audience will vote for their favourite piece, and the winning writer will take home a small prize.
This is a free event but donations are invited. Your support helps keep this program running.

7:00 – 7:15 p.m.
Arrive and find a seat.
Seating is LIMITED.
7:30 p.m.
Readings begin.
Intermission
Wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be available.
9:30 p.m. -ish
Audience votes for their favourite piece, and the writer wins a prize.
Please arrive on time to avoid disruptions.
